Collection: Seiko

Kintaro Hattori opened a watch and clock shop in Tokyo in 1881, establishing the roots of Seiko. The company later introduced Japan’s first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and launched the world’s first quartz wristwatch, the Seiko Quartz Astron, in 1969. Seiko’s history is shaped by a drive to improve precision and make watchmaking technology practical, reliable, and widely accessible.
